Chief Investment Officer

Carlos E. Gonzalez is Resia’s Chief Investment Officer (CIO) leading the Investment, Capital Markets, and Legal team responsible for executing capital market transactions including arranging all debt and equity at the project level as well as disposition of assets with a view of maximizing returns to Resia’s shareholders and investors. In addition, Carlos manages asset and property management teams responsible for executing leasing, marketing and leasing strategies of Resia's completed projects.

Carlos has been a member of the Executive Management Team since 2015 and serves on the Finance, Investment and Audit Committees at Resia (formerly known as AHS Residential). Prior to assuming his new role, Carlos held the position of Chief Financial Officer from January 2015 to June 2021.

Before joining Resia, Carlos oversaw and managed commercial and construction loans as Vice President and Senior Relationship Manager for BankUnited, N.A.’s Corporate Banking Division, where he worked primarily with large contractors and middle-market companies. From 1999 to 2009, he was Vice President and Relationship Manager for SunTrust Bank’s Commercial Real Estate Group. Carlos has served on the Board of Directors of the Builders Association of South Florida (BASF) since 2006, serving as its Vice President in 2009, and most recently joined the esteemed Executive Board of the FSU Real Estate Center at Florida State University. He holds a Master of Science in Finance from Florida International University (FIU) and a Bachelor of Science in both finance and real estate from Florida State University (FSU).
